There are so many great restaurants and places to eat in Sedona, but because the town gets so busy it’s best to plan ahead and make reservations, especially for dinner. In this blog we’re sharing the restaurants we’ve personally visited and enjoyed. You’ll get our honest opinions on each spot to help you decide where to eat in Sedona.

Table of Contents

Picazzo's Healthy Kitchen

If you’re searching for where to eat in Sedona with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, Picazzo’s Healthy Kitchen is a great choice. They have an entire menu dedicated to plant-based dishes, along with plenty of options for meat eaters too. The pizza we ordered was amazing — we went half veggie and half meat, and it was perfect for sharing. They also have a solid happy hour, making it a fun and affordable stop in Sedona.

Sedona Beer Co.

Sedona Beer Co. is a fun spot to grab food and a local brew after a day of exploring the red rocks. If you’re wondering where to eat in Sedona and want a casual, laid-back vibe, this is a great option. It’s located in Uptown Sedona, so keep in mind that traffic and parking can be tricky. The food and beer were both good, but the menu doesn’t have a ton of vegetarian options, so it’s best if you’re more of a meat-eater.

Mariposa

Mariposa is one of the best restaurants in Sedona if you’re looking for a special night out. This was more of a splurge for us, but totally worth it! The food was amazing, and they offer plenty of vegetarian options alongside their signature dishes. If you’re deciding where to eat in Sedona for a birthday, anniversary, or any celebration, this is a fantastic choice. The restaurant also has one of the most incredible views of the red rocks in town, making the dining experience even more memorable.

Salt Rock Kitchen

This is our hands down favorite restaurant in Sedona, and it’s always at the top of our list when friends ask us for recommendations. We’ve been here multiple times and every visit has been just as good as the last. The food and drinks are consistently amazing, and the patio is dog friendly which is a huge bonus for us.

SaltRock is located inside the Amara Resort and Spa in Uptown Sedona, making it a convenient spot if you’re staying nearby or looking for dinner after exploring the red rocks. Unlike many Sedona restaurants that close early, SaltRock Kitchen stays open until 9 pm. We highly recommend booking a reservation in advance since it’s one of the most popular dining spots in town.

Hideaway House

Hideaway House is another spot we find ourselves returning to again and again. Their minestrone soup is incredible, and honestly every dish we’ve tried has been delicious. We usually stop in for lunch, but it’s a solid choice any time of day.

The views here are outstanding, especially if you sit on the patio — which is also dog friendly. Located close to Uptown Sedona, it’s easy to get to after a morning of exploring. While we’ve often been able to walk in with just a short wait, making a reservation is never a bad idea.

Shorebird

We went to Shorebird to celebrate Lauren’s birthday and had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent, and the patio seating made it even better. Shorebird is known for its fresh seafood, but the menu has a variety of options to suit different tastes.

The restaurant is conveniently located near Uptown Sedona, right across from Hideaway House. Since it’s a popular spot, we recommend making a reservation in advance.

Pisa Lisa

Pisa Lisa is a local Sedona favorite and perfect for either a casual dinner or a bite after a hike. Their pizza and salads are always fresh and flavorful. Lauren especially loves adding their spicy honey to her pizza—it’s a must-try!

They have two locations, one in West Sedona and another in the Village of Oak Creek, making it an easy stop no matter where you’re staying.

Dellepiane

Located in the Village of Oak Creek, Dellepiane is one of our go to spots when we want something flavorful and unique. Their empanadas are incredible and definitely worth trying! We also love that they stay open later than most other Sedona restaurants, until 11 pm on Fridays and 10 pm on Saturdays.

Airport Mesa Grill

This is one of our favorite lunch spots in Sedona. If you are still craving breakfast, you can order it into the afternoon, which is always a win. The restaurant is located right at the Sedona Airport, so you can enjoy your meal while watching planes take off. A reservation is a good idea, but we have been able to grab bar seats both times we visited. You can check out their website for hours and menu.

The Table at Junipine

This cozy restaurant takes pride in sourcing almost all of its ingredients locally, and the menu changes with the seasons. It is located along Oak Creek off 89A, making it a beautiful stop for a meal after exploring the area. When we visited in the winter, the atmosphere felt quaint and romantic, perfect for a relaxed dinner. You can check out their website for hours and menu.

Soundbites Bar and Grill

We tried Sound Bites Bar and Grill recently because it was one of the only Sedona restaurants with an open reservation, and we were pleasantly surprised by how good it was! The patio offers an incredible view of the red rocks, and on certain nights you can enjoy live music with your meal. We recommend ordering the ribs and cheesecake—they were both amazing! This restaurant is located in Uptown. You can check out their website for hours and menu.

Butterfly Burger

Butterfly Burger is a great lunch spot, especially after a hike. The burgers are delicious and the restaurant is owned by the same people as Pisa Lisa. It’s located in the Village of Oak Creek and makes for a tasty stop if you’re exploring that side of Sedona.
