Sedona’s Best Easy Trails
Sedona is one of the most scenic hiking destinations in Arizona, but not every trail has to be a steep climb. Some of the best ways to enjoy the red rocks are on easy hikes that anyone can do. From short strolls with big views to family-friendly trails along Oak Creek, these easy Sedona hikes are perfect if you want to experience the area without too much effort. In this guide, we’re sharing our favorite easy trails in Sedona so you can plan your next adventure.
Bell Rock Loop
- This is an easy 1.8 mile loop in Sedona with 203 ft in elevation gain, but you can make it longer if you would like. There are a lot of different trails in this area! If you want you can also climb up Bell Rock, but it is very steep.
- This hike is located off of State Route 179 just north of the Village of Oak Creek. There are two areas to park at for this hike. North of Bell Rocks is Courthouse Vista TH and south of Bell Rock is Bell Rock Vista TH – Map
- There are vaulted toilets at the trailhead & a kiosk to buy Red Rock Pass is at parking lot

Teacup Loop to Coffee Pot Rock
- This is an easy 2.7 mile loop with 297 ft in elevation gain. If you want to make this hike more challenging you can add on Sugar Loaf Summit
- The parking lot is small and there are no restrooms at the trailhead

Crescent Moon Ranch
- This is an easy 1.9 mile out and back hike with only 52 ft in elevation gain
- $12 per vehicle for day use. America The Beautiful Passes and Red Rock Passes do not work here
- There are picnic tables and vaulted toilets. For operating hours check out the National Forest website
